Lists and Lists of Lists

Two months to graduation from residency. Three months until Family Medicine Board Exams. Four months until family vacation. Five months until traveling to say goodbyes. Six months until leaving for French courses. Seven to eight months until arriving in Congo.

In the meantime there are a few things to be done...

Close on the house. -Praise God it sold in 6 weeks for the ASKING price. Amazing!
Move. Somewhere. Not sure exactly where yet, but one of several certain places.
Determine if I can work this summer. (Finding medical malpractice coverage for only 1-2 mos is a challenge)

Pack for four situations:
Congo
Summer
Winter (French courses may be in a winter climate)
Storage

Sort through belongings-divide between selling, donating, giving, and trashing.
Watch Psych supervision session videos so I can graduate.
Read, read, read. My Bible, innumerable books...too many to read.
Finish some projects-scrapbooks, photo albums, etc

All this in due time.
For now, my bed is calling.

Thanksgiving

I'm so thankful for so many things!
First, I'd like to update you since the last post-my info on my Mac was able to get most of the information off-thanks to a business in South Bend called Pixel Creek. They retrieved the info and reinstated my hard drive for $135. Much better than the $700 from the other company I got the quote from!
Today we are celebrating thanksgiving at my house. My parents are here, Joel, Kristi, and their two sons, Logan and Eli are hear and stayed the night. Lyndsey and Zach are coming for lunch. Unfortunately, my other sister, Erin, and her family, Bob, Shaun, and Jaxyn couldn't make it. But I'll see them at Christmas. There is still much baking to be done before lunch is ready, so I'll have to keep this short.
Things I'm thankful for (in random order):
My health
My family
My faith
My job
My future job at World Medical Mission
My house
My garden
My friends
My church
Feeling loved

Changes

Last week friends Bill and Trixy left South Bend for a month of travels before leaving for a five year stay in Cameroon. It's been a rough week since, as they are close friends. However, I am rejoicing because this weekend I am spending time with them at the Global Health Missions Conference in Louisville.
So many things have happened since last week. Unfortunately, in the process of trying to put Windows XP on my Mac, I reformatted the hard drive, and have lost alot of data. I don't think I will be able recover it. I'm rather sad about this. There are a few things that are backed up other places, but not everything. I have one more place to check out to see what they can do. Be praying they can help!
No further progress has been made on plans for my post-graduate fellowship...I'm waiting for replies from WMM and from Joe Harvey in Congo. However, there are many things for me to do before I am ready to leave. Watching Bill and Trixy pack up and prepare to leave has helped open my eyes on all I need to do! Cleaning out the house, deciding what to take, what to leave, what to sell, and what to store is going to be a HUGE task, and is almost overwhelming to me. This in addition to a few things I need to do to get the house ready to put on the market. Oh, and complete residency and my Masters in Public Health. Just a few things on my plate. But with God's help, I'll get it all done.
